DAVID REEVES TIES
David Reeves now sells ties. Each tie is made in Paris by Dormeuil. I chose to have these made up in a fairly neutral width for the most part (3 .3/8"0 which is classic looking, but shaved down enough to look a little trimmer, a little sharper. A few ties I did make very slim for a more younger fashion look. For the Knitted ties I went contrary to popular trends and made them a little wider.
unfortunately I was a bit of a victim of my own success and most of the ties were sold in two days before I could get a chance to photograph them. I am left with just the ones in these pictures. This has certainly motivated me to order more and I will be doing so. My buying success was due to ordering ties with specific clients of mine in mind. Of course stores and designers try to do this but I literally ordered the make of many ties speculatively on an individual basis.
I am particularly pleased with how the rose pattern ties came out (in blue and red top left and bottom right), these are very impressive in person as they are a complex weave rather than a print. The colors and patterns invoke a rather gothic or David Lynch vibe which seems quite well suited to Autumn. Please do click on the photographs to see these in more detail.
Theses ties are available at the Dormeuil showroom in midtown or thanks to my Paypal and Fedex accounts can now be shipped to clients anywhere in the world. If anyone would like to order these ties and have them shipped they run for $100 + $15 shipping in the continental U.S. I will also ship overseas but I will have to adjust shipping accordingly.
